Community Engagement Coordinator

Jose grew up in the rural Yakima Valley of Washington State, raised by a single mother who worked as a farmworker. His passion for financial literacy, civic engagement, and community care has been the driving force behind his career. With 15 years of experience as a banker, Jose provided invaluable financial technical assistance to small businesses and individuals. He later redirected his focus to capacity building services, aiming to empower rural and underserved communities. Through fostering coalitions of health-conscious young adults from rural backgrounds, Jose seeks to cultivate civic engagement and advocate for community-driven policy enhancements. He eagerly anticipates collaborating with local coalition partners and participating in community events.
